OUR APPROACH

Our staff helps create a specialized treatment plan with goals specific to the client’s needs, emphasis on managing psychiatric symptoms, 

activities of daily living, housing, transportation, planning, job seeking skills, coordination of community resources, health & nutrition, medication management & money management.

PROGRAM INFO

This service is for adults and teens who suffer from mental illness and lack basic living skills, need connections to community resources and require help in managing their psychiatric symptoms.

This service improves a client’s well being by establishing a support network of safety, education and empowering the client to increase overall quality of life by managing and controlling symptoms. Our services include extensive collaboration with outside professionals and 24/7 crisis management.

SERVICE

Individuals qualifying for Mental Health Skill Building Services must demonstrate a clinical necessity for the service arising from a condition due to mental, behavioral, or emotional illness that results in significant functional impairments in major life activities. Services are provided to individuals who require individualized training to achieve or maintain stability and independence in the community. The diagnosis must be the primary clinical issue addressed by services and meet the criteria listed on learn more link below:

INTENSIVE IN-HOME SERVICES

OUR APPROACH

Our staff are on call 24/7 for crisis management, and they are actively involved with connecting the child and family to community resources that assist the child in successful treatment. 

PROGRAM INFO

Through our intensive in-home counseling services we serve youth ages 5-17 utilizing evidence-based techniques to address problematic behaviors that put children at risk of being displaced from their homes.

Our clinicians work with the child on a specialized treatment plan that addresses specific behaviors while utilizing family supports. Children insured by Medicaid are eligible for in-home counseling on weekly basis depending on their needs.

OUR APPROACH

Our program is suitable for a diverse patient population.  Successful return to the family and community, as well as prior work, educational and leisure activities, is the goal of the program.  Therefore, discharge planning begins soon after a patient is admitted to tailor appropriate aftercare and to help patients access the most appropriate services to continue treatment as needed. 

PROGRAM INFO

The Crisis Stabilization Program  provides short term services for adults with acute presentations or exacerbations of psychiatric symptoms.  The service offers diagnostic assessment and treatment for the full range of mental health conditions including mood and anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders and others.

 Individuals requiring a safe and supportive environment for assessment and symptom relief are under the care of a multidisciplinary team.  Prompt and thorough psychiatric and medical evaluations help to focus the goals of treatment.

REQUIREMENTS

Referred applicants, ages 5-17, would be deemed appropriate if they are:
  • Experiencing emotional and/or behavioral difficulties that cause distress in the home

  • Returning from out-of-home placement or at serious risk of out-of-home placement due to violent, aggressive, and/or uncontrollable behaviors

  • Has had other services or programs that were not successful in decreasing the behaviors (school suspensions, police involvement, probation, psychiatric treatment, or hospitalization)

  • Displays or engages in behavior that is dangerous, and the child does not understand that their behavior is dangerous (cutting themselves, inappropriate social behaviors, suicidal or homicidal intentions)
